On the map you will find all therapists who have successfully completed the training to become a vertigo and vestibular therapist. Our therapists have spent 38 teaching units of 45 minutes each intensively dealing with vestibular disorders and vestibular rehabilitation.

Mit einer sehr aufwendigen Maßnahme haben wir zum 01.01.2024 alle zertifizierten IVRT Therapeuten, die besonders motiviert sind und extra freie Kapazitäten für Patienten mit Schwindel- und Gleichgewichtsstörungen reserviert haben, für Sie ‘gefiltert’. Somit listen wir nur noch Kollegen in unserer Therapeutensuche auf, die die nötige Motivation und Kapazitäten haben, um Sie zu behandeln!

Patienten aus Österreich und der Schweiz brauchen nur eine ärztliche Verordnung für Physiotherapie (oder gegebenfalls Ergotherapie), in der die “Vestibuläre Rehabilitation” als Intervention angegeben ist. In Österreich und der Schweiz wird die Therapie allerdings hauptsächlich von Physiotherapeuten durchgeführt.
Vestibular rehabilitation is an active therapy and consists 100% of active exercises! Passive methods such as massages on the head, neck or ear are not taught in our seminars and are not recommended by us, as such passive methods have shown no effect on vestibular problems in studies. Our therapists have various additional qualifications and therefore also offer other therapies. However, if you find a therapist using this card, we strongly recommend that you explicitly ask about vestibular rehabilitation!
And please make sure that you really have an appointment with the therapist named! We certify therapists, but not the entire practice. Some course participants give internal lectures so that other colleagues can also carry out the therapy. These lectures are given by therapists who have just learned the therapy and never match the quality & scope of our seminars.
Specialization
BPPV = Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo
Concussion = Concussion
PPPD = Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness
Therapists with a specialization have completed an additional two-day advanced training course in this field, on top of the IVRT® Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapist training and certification. As a result, they possess advanced knowledge and specialized expertise in the assessment and treatment of the respective vestibular disorder.
Competence center
An IVRT® Competence Center employs at least three certified IVRT® therapists. Through regular professional exchange and the combined expertise of the team, patients with dizziness and balance disorders benefit from particularly high-quality, comprehensive care.
Rehabilitation Clinic
Rehabilitation clinics provide specialized vestibular rehabilitation: outpatient, inpatient or outpatient & inpatient . To be designated as an IVRT® Rehabilitation Clinic, the facility must employ at least three certified IVRT® therapists and provide structured care for patients with dizziness and balance disorders.
