Yes, provided that the vertigo therapy is based on a medical prescription for physiotherapy or occupational therapy. Reimbursement is processed through your health insurance fund or mutual insurance society in accordance with the official tariffs and the nomenclature of the INAMI/RIZIV. Depending on whether your therapist is contracted, a small personal copayment may remain.

Yes, in Belgium a medical prescription for physiotherapy or occupational therapy is required by law in order to begin therapeutic treatment. Without such a prescription, a physiotherapist is not allowed to perform clinical treatment.

Without a prescription, you can only receive preventive advice or general ergonomic information in a practice. For the actual therapy, however, you must first consult your primary care physician or another treating doctor to obtain a valid prescription.

In addition to our in-person basic courses, we also offer specialized advanced courses:

• 100% online (following the basic course): Advanced modules on anatomy, physiology, pathology, balance, spontaneous nystagmus, oculomotricity, and BPPV.
